Ms. Maura is Managing Director of Entrepreneurial Services - Division II at the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) here in Illinois. The WBDC is a nationally recognized nonprofit in the field of women’s economic development.

The WBDC is a nationally recognized nonprofit in the field of women’s economic development. Founded in 1986, the WBDC provides programs to accelerate women’s business ownership and strengthen the impact of women on the economy by fueling economic growth.


Ms. Maura’s team received over $1 million in CARES Act funding from the Small Business Administration to assist small businesses negatively impacted by COVID. Their assistance is in the form of no-cost one-on-one advising, virtual workshops, multi-week cohort-based programming for all industries, and specialized multi-week programs for the early childhood education industry.


Ms. Maura is a public interest attorney who has a passion for partnering with entrepreneurs to work with them from ideation to revenue. By helping small businesses and nonprofits with strategy, financial, and legal issues, Maura provides insight on what it takes for her clients to persevere. She helps others define their dreams and create pathways to success. Most importantly, Maura is a consummate relationship-builder and cares deeply about her clients’ progress.
